We do live in a science fictional universe, even though when I write I make it a fantasy universe for ease of reference.
Yesterday, Virgin Galactic opened Spaceport America, the world’s first commercial spaceport.
Meanwhile, in a slightly closer corner of the universe, at a protest which has become an odd meeting of high and low tech with its combination of far-reaching internet support and low-tech human-voice amplification… well, just watch the video.
I love that we live in a world where these two things coexist. Something about the synchronicity here – startlight and finance and government and protest and love – sets me back. We’re living in a novel. I wonder who’s writing it.
